JOYCE HOLDS CERTIFICATIONS IN:
Your MTSS Coach and SEL Expert
Dr. Joyce A. Debrah helps leaders and organizations move from well-intended strategies to coherent, sustainable systems that improve organizational performance and outcomes for the people they serve. With nearly 30 years of experience across education, nonprofit organizations, and organizational leadership, Joyce is known for helping leaders confront a fundamental challenge: great strategies and programs are only as effective as the systems that support their implementation.
As Founder and Lead Consultant of E3 Consulting Solutions, Joyce partners with school districts and mission-driven nonprofit organizations to align people, systems, and culture for lasting impact. Grounded in implementation science, her work spans strategic planning, organizational effectiveness, leadership and staff development, professional learning and coaching, and implementation support. Her nonprofit consulting work has included helping organizations build data-driven cultures and performance management systems that strengthen leadership capacity, accountability, and staff effectiveness. Within education, Joyce brings deep expertise in Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), helping districts build coherent academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and organizational systems that strengthen adult practice and improve student outcomes.
Having served as a teacher, team lead, assistant principal, district administrator, and nonprofit consultant, Joyce brings both practitioner experience and research to complex organizational challenges. She helps leaders identify the “golden thread” connecting vision, strategy, systems, adult practice, and the experiences of the students, staff, families, and communities they serve. Her approach moves organizations beyond isolated initiatives and compliance toward clarity, coherence, shared accountability, and sustainable implementation.
A sought-after leadership coach, facilitator, and implementation advisor, Joyce has presented nationally on MTSS, social-emotional learning, school climate, leadership, and systems transformation. As a certified Real Colors® and DiSC® facilitator, she also integrates temperament and behavioral insights into leadership and organizational development, strengthening communication, collaboration, trust, and team effectiveness.
Joyce’s work is grounded in a simple belief: lasting impact requires more than the right strategy. It requires intentional alignment of the people who do the work, the systems that enable it, and the culture that sustains it.
Outside of Work
Beyond her consulting work, Joyce is a dedicated leader in SEL advocacy at the state level. She is an integral part of the SEL4IL Alliance Leadership Team, where she serves as Treasurer, Advocacy Chair, and Programming Committee Member. In this role, she has played a key part in relaunching SEL4IL, establishing financial structures, expanding programming, and strengthening the organization’s advocacy efforts to promote research-based social and emotional learning (SEL) across Illinois schools and communities. Her work has helped connect educators, policymakers, and community stakeholders to advance equity-driven SEL practices.
A dedicated lifelong learner, Joyce holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Iowa, a Master’s in Urban Education from Saint Xavier University, and a second Master’s in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, continuing her journey of growth and impact.
Above all, Joyce finds the greatest joy in being a mom to two daughters who are both college graduates pursuing their dreams. Her love for learning, coaching, and community-building is rooted in her belief that when we invest in people, we create lasting change—and she is honored to be a part of that work every day.
